Zoom! Advanced Power Teeth Whitening
Using Zoom! Advanced Power ™ teeth whitening, the dentist can whiten your teeth by up to ten shades in just one treatment. What’s more, the Zoom! teeth whitening procedure can enhance the colouration of your smile in less than one hour.
What is Zoom! Advanced teeth whitening?
Zoom! Advanced Power ™ teeth whitening is the latest, most effective in-clinic teeth whitening procedure. It is a bleaching process which lightens discolouration of enamel and dentine. With Zoom! Advanced Power ™ teeth whitening, patients see results immediately. The convenience of Zoom! Advanced Power ™ teeth whitening in comparison to tray or strip methods makes it the perfect choice for the busy individual.
The Zoom! Advanced teeth whitening treatment explained
This teeth whitening procedure begins with a short preparation to cover your lips and gums, leaving only your teeth exposed. Your dentist will then apply Zoom! Advanced Power ™ whitening gel to your teeth. This is applied to the enamel (the protective outer coating) of the tooth and is then heated with a special Zoom! Advanced Power™ lamp. The lamp activates the gel, helping to penetrate the enamel and bleaching away any discolouration without changing the structure of the teeth. When the Zoom! Advanced Power ™ lamp is turned on, the whitening process, which takes less than an hour, begins.Your teeth are safely whitened without causing any harm to them, resulting in an instantly whiter smile.

Home teeth whitening systems allow you to whiten your teeth from the comfort of your own home, but you should not attempt to use one without expert advice.
Tray based teeth whitening treatments can provide the ideal home whitening solution, depending on the level of tooth discolouration.
When you choose tray based home teeth whitening you’ll need an initial consultation with your dentist, they will be able to tell you if you are suitable for home teeth whitening treatments. If so, your dentist will then take impressions of your teeth which are then used to produce upper/lower trays made of a soft vinyl rubber.
The trays are tailored to fit the exact contours of your teeth and are specially moulded to fit into your mouth like a gum-shield. This allows the home teeth whitening gel to closely contact your enamel to produce an all over, consistent, whiter smile. Readymade trays from other home teeth whitening products simply don’t allow the close contact that is required to create such even results.
The dentist will provide you with syringes of solution for home use, as well as your custom made trays, and will be able to answer any questions you have about home teeth whitening. You will be advised on the best period of time to wear the trays to achieve the desired results.
The teeth whitening gel produces oxygen which penetrates the tiny pores in the enamel surface of your teeth. The oxygen removes stains that may have become embedded in the enamel over the years using a safe and easy oxidation process. So why wait? Internal Teeth Whitening
Internal tooth Whitening is a particular type of teeth whitening treatment that is specially designed for a discoloured front tooth which has previously had a root canal treatment.
The internal tooth whitening is only suitable for very specific cases of tooth discolouration. The dentist will help you discover if it is the right treatment for you.
Internal tooth whitening treatment explained
Prior to your internal tooth whitening treatment, an X-ray of the tooth will make sure that the root canal filling is of a high quality as it is vital that a good seal between the top of the tooth and the root is in place for internal tooth whitening to be appropriate.
Once the dentist is satisfied that the tooth is a suitable candidate for internal tooth whitening, a small hole will be created in the back of your tooth and the top of the root canal filling exposed. An impervious lining will be placed over this and then a special whitening gel will be carefully placed into the tooth. A tooth coloured filling material will be used to close the hole.
It is common for the gel to require replacement two or three times to achieve the required whitening effect. In some cases it is not possible to completely lighten the tooth to match its neighbours. The dentist will discuss other treatment options with you if this is the case.
Once your tooth is whitened, a light tooth coloured permanent filling will be placed in the hole to seal the tooth. Make an appointment to discuss internal tooth whitening with one of the dentists at Manor House Dental today.
