Gulshan Rana BSC Dental Hygiene & Therapy
Hi, I’m Gulshan. I joined the Manor House Dental Team in 2018 and have been working as the Dental Hygienist/Therapist.
I originally studied at the University of Birmingham and graduated in 2013 and have stayed here since. I also undertook a year in foundation training with the West Midlands Deanery in 2014.
Outside of work, I’m very much into my sports whether it be watching or playing. I primarily play a lot of team sport but mostly enjoy playing hockey, tennis among other sports.
Dr Gurwinder Singh Dhesi -BDS (Bristol) MJDF RCS Eng DClinDent Pros (London) MProst RCS Ed
Gurwinder is the Specialist Prosthodontist and Implantologist at our practice. This is a specialty dedicated to the replacement and restoration of teeth using all possible treatment modalities such as veneers, crowns, bridges, dentures and dental implants. He places and restores dental implants daily and his preferred system is Straumann, which is a premium worldwide implant brand. He is a member of the International Team of Implantologists (ITI).
Gurwinder graduated in 2012 from the University of Bristol. He then went onto gain Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties (MJDF) with the Royal College of Surgeons England in 2013. Following this, he worked at the Leeds General Infirmary in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, gaining experience in many surgical aspects of dentistry. After this, he spent time working in multiple practices across the UK for 3 years prior to starting his specialist training in 2017 in London. He has been awarded a Doctor of Clinical Dentistry (DClinDent) in Prosthodontics from Queen Mary University of London, a 3-year full – time course. Following this programme, he has proudly completed his specialist training in Prosthodontics and passed the prestigious Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh membership examinations.
Dr Farideh Farshad – DDS Sweden
Dr Farideh Farshad trained as a dentist at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden, renowned globally not only for its dental programme but also its clinical excellence and research.
Farideh has completed numerous post graduate courses in; aesthetic dentistry, cosmetic bonding, dental implantology, Six Month Smile aligners & clear braces and Invisalign as well as advanced training in facial aesthetics.
She has special interest in cosmetic bonding, rehabilitation of complex restorative cases and smile makeovers which require careful planning, attention to details. She is a keen advocate for continuous learning and personal development. She is involved with College in Birmingham for training and apprenticeship of the next generation of dental nurses.
Dr Farshad is currently in the process of obtaining her Postgraduate Diploma in Restorative & Aesthetic Dentistry.
She enjoys the day to day general dentistry and looking after her loyal patients. In her free time, Farideh enjoys sculpturing, reading, pilates, yoga, cycling and spending time with family and friends. Farideh is fluent in English, Swedish and Persian.
Dr Anika Arshad – BDS (STAT) UK
Working as a Cosmetic and General Dental Practitioner for over 24 years, Anika is one of the Principle dentists at Manor House Dental. She provides a consistently high standard of dentistry, a service her loyal patient base has come to expect of her. She makes sure that the upright moral values she endeavours to abide by in her personal life, also reflect in her work. This attribute has helped list her as one of the best female dentists in Birmingham.
The ever-improving world of new dental materials and technology marries in with her enthusiasm to acquire new techniques and skills. She has completed Certification courses in Dental Implantology, Facial Aesthetics, Cosmetic Orthodontics and General Dentistry. Her special interest lies in Cosmetic Smile Makeovers using minimally invasive procedures, like Cosmetic Bondings and Cosmetic Orthodontics.
Anika is a trainer for undergraduate Dental Nurses and loves this aspect of her job. She firmly believes that the key to good patient care is a great dental team. She has a nurturing attitude towards staff and empowers them by training them as a functional unit as well as help polish individual attributes. Outside work she is an active community member and believes in giving back. She voluntarily teaches open seminars on spirituality and wellbeing all over the country and abroad. She also does voluntary spiritual counselling.
